The body of an unidentified 14-year-old schoolboy, found on the tracks between Mira Road and Bhayandar railway stations last noon, has the Government Railway Police (GRP) officials straining hard to figure out the cause of death and the boy's identity.



Police said that they haven't received any complaint or queries so far and no one has come to claim the body.u00a0
A railway police official said, "The incident happened at noon and we waited until 5 pm for the schools to close.

But it is night now and we have not received any complaints. No one has come to search for him. There could be other possibilities also."

Cops have no idea about how the crime took place but are investigating every possible angle. "It is still not known whether he had fallen down from the running train or died while crossing the tracks.

We could not establish his identity as we have not found his bag or any identity cards," added the official.

The police could only find a notebook and two ties on the body. The book bears the name of one Barsal Khan, and contains Urdu text.

The boy was wearing a white uniform with blue stripes that bore the BMC Shikshan Vibhag logo. The police also visited two schools of the BMC Shikshan Vibhag in Dahisar and Mira Road but they couldn't get any clues.

S M Chavan, Senior Inspector, GRP, Vasai, said, "We are trying to investigate who the boy is but have found nothing so far."
