Adarsh asked to reply to show-cause notice

The Environment Ministry yesterday asked the scam-tainted Adarsh Housing Society to submit its reply to the show-cause notice, which seeks an explanation from the society as to why its 31-storey building at Colaba should not be demolished for allegedly violating green laws.

The notice,u00a0 issued under the Environment Protection Act, has to be replied to by December 24. The ministry has made it clear that no further extension of time for filing the reply would be given.

It also granted an opportunity to the society to present the case in person to them on December 28 if the societyu00a0 desires.
