Vinod Kumar Menon accepts the EPC World Award 2010u00a0 for excellence in infrastructure and real estate reporting
Menon*s series on Aarey exposed how its booths across the city were shutting down and its milk production drying up because of unprofitable rent collection and poor quality of milk, plunging it into heavy losses, and a possible closure.
Menon was one of the 20-odd personalities shortlisted by a 25-member jury from a few hundred nominees in the
category. He survived three elimination rounds to bag the prize, the only one reserved for journalists. In all, 26 awards were distributed to eminent personalities from the real estate industry.
The awards aim at recognising effective performers who contributed to infrastructure development in the midst of financial crises and international recession in the past year.
