The rains in November did little to pull down the mercury or the humidity if anything, it pushed winter back by a week even with the onset of December
With little to claim for itself anyway when it comes to having a winter, what little chills the city manages to attract in December are also nowhere on the horizon.
Reports say that average temperatures actually rose by 2C last month despite the wet cold of November.
Following the sudden November rains, weather officials predict negligible to no change in the

Following the freak November rains, weather officials predict negligible to no change in the prevailing high temperatures and humidity levels over the next week Mumbai has over the past few days recorded an average high of 33C and a low of 20, both around two degrees above the normal expected temperature.
R V Sharma, deputy director, IMD (western region), said, "The temperature in this part of the country is dependent on a drop in mercury levels over the northern parts of India.
So we*re not expecting any drastic drop in the city*s temperatures any time soon over the next seven or eight days."
This is less than welcome news for Mumbaikars who have already sulked over a wet and muggy November.
"Even though November 19 registered a record low of 13.3C, we*ve experienced temperatures in November that have been, on some days, up to five degrees above normal.
For temperatures to drop there*s a need for north-easterly winds and clear skies. Also, the lowering of pressure over the region has brought in rain and high temperatures.
There is nothing that can be said right now about the onset of winter," said V K Rajiv, Mumbai director of the centre.
According to IMD reports, Mumbai along with other parts of the country experienced freak thundershowers that were out of the normal.
Cities in Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhuj, Deesa recorded the lowest temperature ever in the last 40 years this November.
At the same time cities in Rajasthan broke all time records with rainfall that they received last month.
