Hotels employ nannies to take care of kids while their parents party
New Year's parties have always been a hot favourite among young married couples but worrying about who will take care of their kids while they are away has always been a killjoy.
Children are usually not allowed into party venues and even if they are, managing them becomes difficult for their parents.
Hence, this year, several hotels have decided to employ nannies to take care of the kids while the parents have a good time.
Hotel Sahara Star, which will have Mallika Sherawat performing at their Vile Parle property and Malaika Arora at the Aamby Valley property, has planned special family packages.
There will be special kids' zones with an assortment of games and entertainment, where they will be watched over by nannies.
Rajesh Mohan, head of strategy, Sahara Star said, "The bash at Sahara Star hotel will be on till 2.30 am, while the party at Aamby Valley is a two-day affair, which will continue till the afternoon of January 1.
The rooms have, for the most part, been booked by families and therefore, plans have been made for keeping the kids entertained as well. There will be one nanny for each group of seven kids."
Many other hotels have also embraced this new concept and are issuing New Year's Eve party passes to families rather than to couples alone.
Antoine Lewis, editor, Burp.com, an online lifestyle guide, said, "This New Year, we've got listings of smaller parties where needs of families, stags and couples are met. There are bifurcated areas for each segment."
