Police officials complain that increase in security arrangements in city because of President Obama's visit has affected their Diwali preparations
If you were driving on the JJ Flyover last night, chances are you might have been caught in a massive security check undertaken by the police. A nakabandi was conducted near JJ flyover from midnight to 3 am.
Security has been beefed up with US President Barack Obama's visit looming over the city. Each and every car was stopped and suspicious people were immediately hauled up.
However, the adage that security comes at a high price is true.

Officials conducting the nakabandi last night, said that with Obama coming to town they were deprived of their preparations for Diwali.
One official said, "This is an important festival for us and we are unable to celebrate it properly because all the holidays that we had applied for have been cancelled."
Sub Inspector Sunil Lomte of JJ Marg police station, said, "This is just a routine check-up and we have been given orders from our seniors to regularly conduct security checks."
Several areas are on high alert as US President is arriving in Mumbai on November 5.
