What happens to bills pending approval?

Twenty-one bills are slated to be tabled for approval during the winter session of the state legislative assembly which is scheduled to be held in the first week of December in Nagpur.

Most of these bills are either awaiting approval from the monsoon session or are those which may not have an immediate impact on the common man. They include increase in imposition of fine for traffic violations under the Motor Vehicles Act, bonus payment to employees and other issues related to the university and water supply department.

"The new CM's appointment and subsequent cabinet reshuffle might not have any impact on the proposed bills to be tabled," said state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Patil.

However, senior Mantralaya officials said that it is the political will and interest of the new CM and his cabinet to push for certain policies to be passed in the winter session.

The following policies are among those awaiting a nod:
