Has the Mumbai Youth Congress (MYC) woken up to the cause of the unemployed youth in the city or is it just another stint to increase the membership count?

Has the Mumbai Youth Congress (MYC) woken up to the cause of the unemployed youth in the city or is it just another stint to increase the membership count?

Whatever the reason be, Mumbai Youth Congress is all set to assure employment to the jobless youth of the city by March. But in order to get a job, they first need to become a member of the organisation.

Youth Congress office bearers are preparing a list of jobless youngsters at the ward level to approach for membership.

Once this is done, a massive job fair would be organised early next year, where the recently joined members would be able to fish for jobs.u00a0

"The Youth Congress will tie up with a job portal and a career website to ensure jobs to our unemployed members," said an office bearer of MYC.

According to MYC Vice President, Anis Akram Khan, the employment drive is an initiative of the Party President Sadaf Aboli.

Currently, the Youth Congress is carrying out an identity card distribution programme for its members to facilitate better services to them in the future.

Jobs for all?
In the past, the Shiv Sena too had initiated a similar move to provide employment to the Maharashtrian youth. However, the programme met with little success.
