If there's a watering hole in London where, whether you like it or not, you can be certain of running into desi as well as domiciled Indians at any time of year, it is the old-fashioned Victorian pub, The Audley (aka Little India), in Mayfair.
Last Monday evening, permanent fixtures a fair sprinkling of Indians included hung around the lower floor and outside the boozer on Mount Street, near Piccadilly, oblivious to the unannounced entry of VVIPs.

The bill for the threesome and retinue reportedly came to a modest u00a3200 (Rs 15,552), to which was added a generous tip.
During their brief London sojourn, Michelle Obama also stopped by for a chat and afternoon tea with Sarah Brown, wife of the prime minister, (then fighting for his political life), while the girls took in Westminster and Big Ben and shopped at Harrod's.
Avid Harry Potter fans, they also visited the sets of Pinewo-od Studios, where their favou- rite Harry Potter films were shot, before jetting off home.
Fat cat Indian wallflowers were said to be mostly unaware and, when informed, not overly impressed, ostensibly fearful, poor souls, that prices of their favourite drop will go up after the VIP visit.
