According to an agency report, the team management of the visiting Australian cricket team in England has filed a report with the ICC Anti-Corruption and Security Unit that one of its players was approached by a suspected 'bookie' last month.u00a0
A Cricinfo report claimed that the Australian player was approached in the bar of the team's hotel in London during the Lord's Test. The cricketer informed team manager Steve Barnard, who filed an official report with the ACSU.
u00a0The player is not suspected of any wrongdoing and the matter is being investigated.
There were similar reports of bookmakers approaching Pakistani cricketers in Colombo during their recent Test series in Sri Lanka.
