It is important, like this edit space has mentioned earlier, to ‘finish’ the vaccination process. Even now, several doctors are saying that people are dying not solely due to missing vaccine, but there are significant numbers of unvaccinated persons and even those who were ‘compromised’ by one jab

With the booster dose now rolling out for seniors and frontline workers, a somewhat similar scenario is emerging like we had, as so many people refused to take the second dose of vaccine, deciding for themselves that one dose was enough. We now have several seniors who do not want to take the booster.

They have self-decided that two vaccine doses are enough and do not want a booster. At other times, they have been convinced by somebody not to take the booster shot, as it is unnecessary. There are also several confusing accounts on the Internet. We do not take into account some who are genuinely unable to go to the booster jab at centres or there are some circumstances that do not allow them to take the booster jab.

It is important, like this edit space has mentioned earlier, to ‘finish' the vaccination process. Even now, several doctors are saying that people are dying not solely due to missing vaccine, but there are significant numbers of unvaccinated persons and even those who were ‘compromised' by one jab.

We have the anti-vaxxers. Then, we have the anti-second dosers or second dose sceptics. Now, we have the ‘do not believe in boosters'. We must remind these people that top doctors are advocating the booster and in fact, several online seminars have had renowned chest specialists claiming that frontline workers should have gotten their booster dose earlier.

While uncertainty is the name of the game, people should be encouraged to follow credible sources of information and opinion, rather than believe everything in the cyber world.

It is important that there is completion to a task, just like one would like to complete a course of medicine for it to be most effective, one will have to ‘complete' the vaccine process too. We do not know what tomorrow brings. Yet those eligible must take the booster for maximum protection.
