Pace legend Glenn McGrath foresaw Australia complete au00a04-0 whitewash over India in the ongoing Test series. He made this claim following Australia's bowling attack, and managed to annoy a whole lot of people in the process. Faking News tweeted: 'Glenn McGrath should be blacklisted from IPL and Bigg Boss.' Anthony Leach asked: ''Has McGrath ever predicted anything other than a series whitewash by Australia in any series?' There was this comment from Koyal Ghosh: 'Everyone has the right to dream.' And this observation from Renjith Menon: 'Glenn McGrath is trending in India but not in Australia. Like the roadside jyotish who is thrown out of his village and makes it big in a city.'

Power struggle
One person was killed and two others injured when CISF troopers allegedly opened fire at people protesting a power shortage in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident lead to a barrage of angry comments like this, for instance, from Shuja-ul-Haq: 'Why give guns to CISF when they don't know how to use them? No one deserves to die for demanding electricity.' Someone using the handle ResurgentIndian added: 'I see no reason why CISF has to fire at protesters. Totally wrong. If protesters damage the plant, so be it. They will only suffer.' And from Zubair: 'What is the difference between CISF and CRPF? Both carry guns manufactured by Indian ordinance factories. Both kill innocents.'

Chalk and cheese
What are things that don't go together? Some people online listed these among other examples: 'Tiger Woods and black women', 'curd and noodles', 'Chinese New Year songs and serenity', 'his actions and her expectations', 'honesty and politicians', 'dieting and new year resolutions' and, interestingly, 'modesty and Twitter.'

The last word
From writer Chetan Bhagat: 'People who keep switching their minds from negative to positive thoughts do better in life. Don't doubt this. Believe it.'
