Aisam (Qureshi) and I are part of a campaign called "Stop war, Start tennis" ufffd a campaign that demonstrates that sport transcends boundaries, even when met by fierce opposition. Aisam and I got together to be a team, after we became friends many years ago, making this partnership not an issue of political alliance but of one built on friendship and respect for each other's play.
Given our success story, I really do hope that more sporting professionals from all over India as well as from around the world use sport to build healthy relationships with other countries.
While healthy rivalry on the field makes a good sportsman, I don't believe that the rivalry ever has to move off the field.
