HIV positive porn star sends shockwaves throughout adult film industry

A number of adult film performers are set to be quarantined and tested by a California clinic after a porn star tested positive for HIV.

The performer, whose identity or gender was not disclosed, tested positive at the AIM clinic, in Sherman Oaks.

"We do have a confirmed adult-industry performer who tested positive for HIV," the Daily Telegraph quoted Jennifer Miller, a HIV/STD counselor at the clinic, as telling the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

"We are quarantining and testing all exposed partners to the individual who tested positive for HIV.

"We're doing what we can to notify the individuals involved," Miller added.
