Hacking group plans to 'kill Facebook' on November 5

Hacking group Anonymous is reportedly planning to 'kill' Facebook and has announced that the social networking site will be 'destroyed on November 5.'

According to Fox News, in a YouTube video, the hacking group has warned, 'your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed.'

Anonymous claimed the social network provides information to 'government agencies' so they can 'spy on people.'

"If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill Facebook for the sake of your own privacy," it added.

The group said in its message that 'Operation Facebook' would begin on November 5.
