Myanmar's parliament on Tuesday approved two portfolios, proposed by President U Htin Kyaw, to substitute two of the four portfolios held by Aung San Suu Kyi


Nay Pyi Taw: Myanmar's parliament on Tuesday approved two portfolios, proposed by President U Htin Kyaw, to substitute two of the four portfolios held by Aung San Suu Kyi.

U Myo Thein Gyi was appointed as minister of education and U Pe Zin Tun as minister of electric power and energy, Xinhua news agency reported.

Aung San Suu Kyi's first two portfolios -- foreign affairs minister and minister of the president's office remained unchanged.

U Myo Thein Gyi is currently director-general of the higher education department, while U Pe Zin Tun is currently permanent secretary of ministry of electric power and energy.
