Air taxis cleared for takeoff

Electric air taxis are set to begin pilot operations across parts of the US after the Transportation Department approved eight projects under an advanced air mobility programme backed by Donald Trump.

Companies including Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation will test passenger and cargo flights, including potential air taxi services from Manhattan heliports.
