Green maritime company Artemis Technologies has officially launched sea trials for its Artemis EF-12 Pilot - the world's first 100 per cent electric, hydrofoil pilot boat.

The zero-emission, hydrofoil vessel has been specifically designed to meet the demanding safety and performance needs of daily harbor pilot transfers.

Depending on the configuration, it reaches a top speed of 30 to 32 knots (56-59 kmph). A harbour pilot boat transports specialised marine pilots between the shore and large inbound or outbound ships.
