Baidu's robotaxi passengers were left stranded in the middle of fast-moving traffic in the Chinese city of Wuhan after their driverless vehicles stopped running on Wednesday. More than 100 robotaxis came to a halt because of a "system malfunction". No injuries were reported.

One passenger said after company staff didn't show up, the SOS button was pushed. The car door opened, so the passengers got out. It is the first time a mass shutdown of robotaxis has been reported in China.
