A documentary filmmaker from India, arrested on a charge of bringing a prohibited weapon into Houston, has pleaded no contest to the charge so he can finally return home.


A documentary filmmaker from India, arrested on a charge of bringing a prohibited weapon into Houston, has pleaded no contest to the charge so he can finally return home.

He was arrested at Bush Intercontinental Airport on August 20.

He didn't make eye contact and had Islamic literature in his luggage. When his bags were searched a pair of brass knuckles was found.

Kumar was sentenced to 20 days in jail. Kumar agreed to the plea deal to avoid jail time and immigration charges.
