Iranian officials have confirmed receiving an official US response to Tehran's proposal aimed at ending the seven-month war, following its initial public rejection by US President Donald Trump.
Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented the document to President Masoud Pezeshkian during a cabinet meeting, but details of its contents - and whether it constitutes a formal rejection - remain undisclosed.
The response follows negotiations and discussions with Qatari and Pakistani mediators conducted alongside the UN General Assembly in New York.
Reaffirming Iran's commitment to securing a deal based on a "win-win strategy", Pezeshkian said Iran will continue to firmly defend the rights of its people throughout the ongoing diplomatic process.
