Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has received US feedback via Qatari mediators in Doha regarding a proposed seven-day trust-building plan. Sequencing remains the primary obstacle between Washington and Tehran, according to an official briefed on the talks. Araqchi was set to discuss the response in Tehran on Wednesday.

Iran originally proposed the seven-day framework last week, offering to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restore normal maritime transit if specific conditions were satisfied. US President Donald Trump initially rejected this proposal, leading to additional mediation by Qatar.

Qatari officials met with Araqchi and his delegation on Monday following their return from the US to deliver Washington's input. The document outlines a seven-day trust-building period. The updated agreement also includes concrete steps concerning Iran's nuclear program.
