And now Prince Harry can add pop star to his list of accolades as it has been revealed his will be performing on the Jubilee Song along with Gary Barlow. But fans of the dashing young prince hoping to hear him sing will be left disappointed - he will only be playing the tambourine.

Gary Barlow has revealed that Prince Charles was the brains behind his globe-trotting Jubilee single. Barlow had been planning to put the track together in the UK but the Prince of Wales advised him the Queen would appreciate a track drawn from across the Commonwealth.

The song - which features well-known musicians such as reggae duo Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, and ska guitarist Ernest Ranglin - changed continually while he was en route recording sounds.

"I can't believe we've managed to get the amount of people we got featured on this song, from all corners of The Commonwealth, but we did! I'm very proud of the result and hope people enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it."

Gary has also revealed how the Queen was concerned she will not be able to sleep due to all the noise following the concert. Some of the proceeds from Sing will raise funds for The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust. u00a0
