Vertical Aerospace completes first piloted flight of hybrid-electric aircraft prototype

Vertical Aerospace recently conducted the maiden piloted flight of its full-scale prototype hybrid-electric aircraft.

The latest prototype will progress through all phases of testing, including thrustborne, wingborne and transition flight. This is the final prototype before Critical Design Review (CDR), the company said.
