Russian women have never been less interested in boob jobs. Girl, in this economy? Forget it. Breast implant imports have been disrupted by the war in Russia, raising costs in a time of economic hardship.

The women there have responded with a novel strategy to make ends meet in the war-fuelled recession - they are selling second-hand breast implants online, often for three to four times below the original cost. For example, Mentor implants that were originally priced at 1,40,000 rubles (Rs 1.75 lakh) are now going for 35,000 rubles (Rs 43,794).

But those tempted by the deal, remember, surgeons won't work with used silicon implants, as it can lead to tissue necrosis or even death. But if you want one of these prized implants to hang up in your home, go ahead; there's a market full of them.

Far from ‘stationery'

Seven metres long with a wingspan of 20.04 metres and weighing 28.49 kg. We are not talking about a new dinosaur fossil, but a paper plane that has broken the world record for being the largest of its kind. Built using 300 kg of paper and 60 litres of glue, the plane glided in the air for 59 metres before landing.

Lucky number ‘7'

A Maryland man went out to pick up pizza for his family and, on the way, stumbled upon a $77,777 scratch-off lottery ticket. He had decided to make a quick pitstop at the Sheetz store on Virginia Avenue in Cumberland to buy lottery tickets. The Cumberland man bought a $10 lottery ticket (Triple Red 7s Multiplier game) and scratched it off in the store, which revealed three "7" symbols. The man went home with pizza and a prize.

Bulls now have a new hobby in Newcastle, England - disrupting cricket matches. A bull, which had escaped from a nearby farm, wandered into the pitch at Burnopfield Cricket Club during a game against Hetton Lyons Cricket Club and charged at the players and an umpire. The match ended up being cancelled as the agitated animal did not calm down.
