Meanwhile, the Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah presented the prestigious award to PM Modi 

Speaking after accepting the award, PM Modi asserted that India and Namibia have been strong friends since both nations gained independence

He further said that their bond is "time-tested," built on shared values and future aspirations, promising continued close cooperation and joint progress

Meanwhile, this is the 27th international award that Prime Minister Modi has received from a foreign government since becoming Prime Minister in May 2014

Prime Minister Modi is currently in Namibia, concluding his five-nation tour. However, it is important note that this is his first visit to the country, and only the third time an Indian Prime Minister has visited the country
