Kyiv came under one of the largest Russian missile and drone attacks since the start of the full-scale war, killing at least three people, including a child and injuring more than ten. Several buildings were set ablaze, including a cardiological hospital, as explosions rang out for hours. Residents sought shelter in metro stations as Ukraine reported hundreds of projectiles launched. In response, Poland closed airspace near its border and scrambled fighter jets. Ukrainian officials are calling for tougher sanctions to pressure Putin to end the war.
