Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a bombshell claim that Iran tried to assassinate one of his sons. Speaking to Israeli television, Netanyahu said Iran had targeted one of his sons and attempted to kill him. However, he did not reveal which son was allegedly targeted, when the attempt took place or how the alleged plot was carried out. Netanyahu has two sons, Yair and Avner, and both have been subject to heightened security arrangements. In July, Israel`s Ministerial Committee for Shin Bet Affairs approved extended personal protection for Netanyahu`s wife Sara and their two sons.
