The United States has issued a fresh security advisory urging Americans across the Middle East to remain on high alert and be prepared to leave if the security situation deteriorates. The US State Department has warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions amid fears of renewed escalation. American citizens have also been advised to reconsider travel to and through the region. The advisory has been reposted by US embassies across Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
