A fire broke out aboard the US Navy’s flagship aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford while the warship was operating in the Red Sea during ongoing Operation Epic Fury in the West Asia. According to the US Navy, the blaze started in the ship’s main laundry facilities and was quickly contained by crew members. Officials stressed that the fire was accidental and not related to combat operations.
