Virender Sehwag, who signed a 100 crore-deal for five years with Professional Management Group was delighted to see India having a strong bench strength.

"It is a good sign for Indian cricket. It is good to have strong bench strength so, if any body gets injured for the World Cup, we have capable guys to replace them.

That also shows we have enormous talent and the future is bright," Sehwag said at the Cricket Club of India yesterday.u00a0 The Nawab of Najafgarh also spoke on other issues.

Excerpts:

On the use of Umpire Decision Referral System (UDRS): I am a big fan of UDRS. I have been given out many times wrongly, but UDRS gives me a chance to refer the decision (to third umpire).

On the forthcoming series against New Zealand: The Kiwis are underdogs, but we are concerned about our performance. Bangladesh may have upset them in ODIs recently, but it is important to maintain our form before the World Cup.

On Team India coach Gary Kirsten: He has allowed me to play my best cricket. He has never told me to change anything. He has always been encouraging even if I score 20-30 runs. He always pushes me to improve my fitness.

On Sachin Tendulkar approaching 100 hundreds: Only God can do it and that is why I am certain that Sachin will do it. I am very lucky to play with him.

On whether India should field a full strength team against New Zealand in the ODI series: I would love to have a full team, but the schedule is such that it is important to give a break (to players). It's up to the team management and the BCCI to decide on it. Personally, I would like to play as many ODIs
as I can (before the WC).
