How easy is it to shrug off painful losses and come back fighting within hours again?

Well, that's what World Champion Viswanathan Anand did against Veselin Topalov in the second round of the FIDE World Chess Championship onu00a0 Saturday, after losing Round One. And Anand fought back in style as he totally outplayed his host.

If yesterday Anand had walked into Topalov's home preparation, then today he dished out his own home concoction. Anand though had to sweat it out on the board as this was one of the rare games where the Indian, dubbed as the Speed King, was at his slowest. Yesterday's game was was highly complex and difficult for the general followers to comprehend and even some of the commentating Grandmasters were predicting a draw for most part.

u00a0Later, Anand admitted he hadu00a0 not slept over his Round One loss the previous night.

"After a loss like yesterday, the most important thing was to get some sleep, but that unfortunately was impossible last night. The second thing was to stay calm and play a good game the next day."

Anand's wife, Aruna who is also his manager confessed: "I too remained calm last night. You can't change the result, somehow you have to bear it and it will pass. As long as Anand is fine, everything else falls in place."
As for his win, Anand said that right up to the 25th move he was not sure of what would happen. But then, Topalov let it slip with his 25th move.
