Ashish Nehra is set to play his first match of this World Cup, finally. The left-arm seamer, who missed out on the earlier games with a back strain, will make his tournament debut at his backyard, the Feroz Shah Kotla ground, when India take on the Netherlands today.
Nehra will come in place of right-arm pacer Munaf Patel while off-spinner R Ashwin will continue to warm the bench as Piyush Chawla will be retained.
The Indian team management feels that one failure, against Ireland on Sunday when the leg-spinner returned with none for 56 from eight overs, could happen to any bowler.
