Bangladesh to host Asia Cup

The 2014 Asia Cup tournament will be now held in Bangladesh since India were unable to host the tournament due to a crowded international schedule, according to ESPNcricinfo. The tournament may be held from February 24 to March 8.


India informed other Asian Cricket Council members at a recent meeting in Kuala Lumpur that they would not be able to play hosts.

The website report stated: "It is understood that Bangladesh volunteered to host the Asia Cup and even decided to postpone the tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which was to be held around the same time."u00a0
