Barcelona face a race against time to get to Pamplona in time for this evening's Primera Division clash against Osasuna following a day of confusion.

Barca announced on their website earlier this afternoon that the fixture at the Reyno de Navarra stadium, which is scheduled to be played at 2000 local time tonight, has been rescheduled for tomorrow due to the air traffic controllers' strike in Spain.

However, Osasuna then released a statement announcing they had not received any official notification about a postponement and therefore expected the match to go on as planned last evening.

"Osasuna understands there is nothing to justify the change of the day and time set for the match, according to current regulations," the statement read.

Barca then confirmed they were en route to the Pamplona via Zaragoza by train before making the final 181-kilometre drive by coach.

The latest Barca statement said: "Barcelona left the Nou Camp at 1530 for the Sants station, where they took an AVE (high-speed train) at 1600 to Zaragoza. Once there (at 1720), they will travel by coach to Pamplona.u00a0

Spanish football federation spokesman Jorge Carretero said: "The Federation never called off the game. If is being played this evening it's because there is an agreement between the clubs and the league (LFP)."
