It is more apt to see prominent horse owner and former chief of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) Dr Cyrus Poonawalla at Mahalaxmi racecourse.
But he was at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday watching the Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore ipl clash. Poonawalla confirmed to Sunday MiD DAY that he would be bidding for an IPL team in the auction at Chennai today.

"I would not be going for the auction but yes, my consortium would be bidding for the team. The results should be known by 11.30 am (on Sunday)," he said.
It is learnt that Poonawalla's consortium comprises Cyrus, the Videocon group and Ajay Shirke, president, Maharashtra Cricket Association.
With the RWITC chairmanship behind him, maybe Pune's Mr Moneybags, Cyrus Poonawalla is looking for fresher, newer, cash-rich ventures.
