Argentine legend Diego Maradonau00a0 lashed out at the Football Association in the wake of Fabio Capello's shock resignation. "The English FA used the Terry excuse to get rid of him," Maradona professed.

"They were not happy with his performance and they saw this as the perfect opportunity to make him leave," the Al Wasl manager said after his team's 1-0 win over Bani Yas in the UAE Pro League yesterday.
