Upbeat over successive wins at the Barabati stadium here, Deccan Chargers skipper Adam Gilchrist today appreciated the expansion of the Indian Premier League matches.


Upbeat over successive wins at the Barabati stadium here, Deccan Chargers skipper Adam Gilchrist today appreciated the expansion of the Indian Premier League matches.

"It is good that IPL is expanding. Good substances will come up by this," Gilchrist said denying money factor behind expansion of the IPL matches. He said passion for cricket in India was the prime factor behind expansion of IPL matches and added the Deccan Chargers played a good game at Barabati.

u00a0"We won both the matches at the home venue," he said adding that there was not much difficulty in making a successive win.

Delhi Daredevils captain Dinesh Karthik, however, admitted to have succumbed to the pressure of T20 matches.

This was the third successive match the Daredevils lost while their opponent Deccan Charges won its third game back to back.

u00a0Claiming that absence of Gautam Gambhir, Asish Nehra and T Dilasan as reasons behind the team's defeat, Karthik lauded Andrew Symonds catch which turned the match. "Hats off to Symonds," Karthik said in praise of the Aussie player.
