Rajasthan Royals' all-rounder enters record books, hits 2013's first 100, and becomes the 5th Australian centurion in IPL.

Fans had to wait till the 30th match of IPL 2013 before they witnessed the season's first century. And what a century it was. Rajasthan Royals' opener Shane Watson blasted his way to the three-figure mark of merely 60 deliveries.

The Australian's innings helped Rajasthan score a massive 185 for four against Chennai Super Kings. But unfortunately, the centurion turned villain while bowling the last over. CSK needed 11 off the last over and Watson was treated disdainfully by Dwayne Bravo, who hit the Aussie for a huge six over cover to make the equation tilt in the home team's favour.

Watson, who reached his 100 in the 18th over, was unfortunately out the next ball, caught at extra cover off Bravo to be dismissed for 101. His innings included six fours and six sixes.

Watson began his innings in style, striking the very first ball of the match for a boundary. He continued in the same vein and didn't have a false note in his innings, bringing up his 10th IPL fifty off just 29 balls, with a huge six off the bowling of left-arm spinner Ravi Jadeja.

The fifty seemed to pump up Watson as he upped his strike rate, getting from 84 to his 100 in just 6 deliveries, his first in T20 cricket.

Watson was particularly severe on CSK's all-rounders Chris Morris and Ravindra Jadeja, hitting the two for 54 off his runs, including 5 maximums.u00a0

IPL 6 had till now seen 2 Super Overs, two hat-tricks and now there's a century too add to the record books.
