India seek revival against Lanka in ODI tri-series

Bulawayo: The number of times India and Sri Lanka have played against each other in recent times, to call it an overkill will be an understatement.

The two familiar opponents face-off again on Sunday, this time in the tri-series one-day tournament inu00a0 Zimbabwe.

Starting with the Asia Cup in July 2008, India and Sri Lanka have faced each other in a whopping 22 ODIs, six Tests, and four Twenty20s.

Suresh Raina's team, however, will be under a great deal of pressure after losing their opening game to hosts Zimbabwe.

Being their first game in the tournament, the Tillakaratne Dilshan-led Sri Lankan team can afford to go in with a relaxed frame of mind.

The young Indian team's pride has been jolted by Zimbabwe's batsmen who chased down 285 with ease. The six-wicket loss has put tremendous pressure on the Indian bowlers.

"We need to work on our bowling and fielding department to come back against Sri Lanka," Raina said after the match.
