The Indian women's team defeated Sri Lanka yesterday to qualify for the semi-finals of the World T20 tournament at Warner Park.
Sulakshana Naik and Mithali Raj scored half-centuries to help India score 144-3. Sri Lanka never quite matched up to India's batting and made a mere 73 in reply, losing nine wickets in its allotted 20 overs.
"It's obviously good to know we've now qualified for the semi-finals and we're looking forward to facing Australia next in St Lucia," said India captain Jhulan Goswami.
