Irfan Pathan may be out of the mix in Test and one-day cricket, but the selectors seem to have plans for him when it comes to representing the country at the ICC World Twenty20 to be held in the West Indies in April and May.
It is learnt that Irfan figures in the list of India's World T20 probables which will be released on Friday. Irfan last wore India colours during the 2009 World T20 game against West Indies at Lord's. If he makes it to the final squad, he will play his third World Cup in cricket's shortest version.

Also in the list are discarded wicketkeepers Parthiv Patel and Wriddhiman Saha.
The latter was dumped after the Nagpur Test against South Africa.
Patel will have to do famously well for Chennai Super Kings if he has to make it in the final squad.
The selectors have included players known for their prowess in the longer version of the game too. Tamil Nadu's Murali being a case in point. The batsman has played five Tests for India without making a limited overs appearance. Sachin Tendulkar does not play Twenty20 internationals so he doesn't figure in the probables, but his Mumbai colleagues Rohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni make the list.
