There are early days in the third edition of the Indian Premier League, but it's never too early for the mind games.

The rumour floating around was about Delhi Daredevils suffering a double blow. Not only their skipper Gautam Gambhir is injured, but also the mainstay of their batting, Virender Sehwag is down for the count.

Sehwag is Delhi's biggest match-winner and the buzz is that he is not fully fit. But, given his value to the team, the Daredevils are desperate to play him at all costs.

There is a huge risk involved in playing an injured Sehwag. The ICC Twenty20 World Cup starts within a few days after the completion of the Indian Premier League.

If Sehwag aggravates his injury, India may miss out on his services and it will be a huge blow for the team's chances at the World T20.

Sehwag had injured his shoulder in the last edition of the IPL and consequently India missed out on the opener's services in the T20 World Cup played in England. In fact, it triggered a huge controversy and affected the team's performance, leading to its early exit.
