Former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja, now a respected commentator, feels the Pakistan think tank should include Shoaib Akhtar in the semi-final match against India at the Punjab Cricket Association ground in Mohali on March 30. "If you look at the records, apart from Glen McGrath, it is Shoaib who has claimed Sachin's wicket often.
"Shoaib will be charged up to bowl to Sachin again and his presence will give his team a big push in a vital match. It could be a fitting farewell for Shoaib to be given an opportunity against the arch-rival. He is committed, he is a character and he could be the trump-card. The tour selectors may have to drop Wahab Riaz to accommodate Shoaib."
Rameez did not believe that it would be a big problem. " Riaz is not exactly an extraordinary performer and Shoaib's presence will help. Remember how he got Sachin for a duck in the Asian Test Championship game at the Eden Gardens in Calutta in 1999.
