Australian tearaway Shaun Tait is disappointed about his Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Rajasthan Royals' and Kings XI Punjab's IPL contracts being terminated, but the Australian looks forward to play for another franchise in the next edition of the IPL.

"It is sad to hear that the team you were part of has been knocked out of the tournament," he said. "I cannot explain the pain Shane (Warne) had taken to lift a team termed as underdogs to champions. I have not had a conversation with Shane, but I am sure he would have been equally disappointed. I hope a settlement is brokered and the two teams form a part of the IPL again," added Tait, who visited the Payyade Sports Club in Kandivli, to give bowling tips to young fast bowlers.

According to Tait, there's not much of choice for the players of the two IPL teams.

"I enjoyed a lot playing with Rajasthan Royals. But as players, we don't have many options. I would definitely consider options if I am given an opportunity," he said.

Tait, who is currently out of action with an elbow injury, said he was hopeful of a comeback to international cricket by January next year. "I am very disappointed not to be a part of the ongoing ODI series against India.

It is always good to be playing against India.u00a0 Playing in the ODI series would have been good preparation for the World Cup which is scheduled in the sub-continent next year," he said.
