He is survived by wife Nirupa and two sons - Snehasish and Sourav. Chandidas, who was being treated at home, suffered from high blood sugar and was given insulins regularly.
"His condition deteriorated in the evening and he passed away around 6.30 pm while he was being rushed to the MP Birla Heart Research Centre," CAB joint secretary Sujan Mukherjee said.
