Shreyas Iyer led from the front as his second consecutive half-century helped NaMo Bandra Blasters comprehensively beat ARCS Andheri by nine wickets and also dislodged them from the top position in the T20 Mumbai League points table yesterday.

Chasing 108, Iyer's flawless unbeaten 53 off 35 balls was too hot to handle for the Andheri outfit. After losing opener Kevin Almeida in the second over, Bandra Blasters faced no hiccups as they chased the below par score in 13.2 overs. Arcs Andheri never really found stability in their batting after a 35-run opening stand between Doraisawamy Subramanian (22) and Mumbai opener Akhil Herwadkar (14). Mumbai's old warrior Pravin Tambe was the pick of the bowlers for NaMo Bandra with 3-8 in four overs.

Tambe, 46, first claimed the wicket of Tanmay Mishra (11) and in his next over, dismissed Chinmay Sutar (3). He then bowled a beauty to Iqbal Abdulla (9) as the Arcs Andheri skipper completely failed to judge the trajectory of his leg-spinning delivery.
