With less than 24 hours to go before the 10-day deadline set by the BCCI to the owners of Kochi expires, there is still no confirmation on whether the issue will be resolved in time.
Here is a chronological list of events that have transpired since October 10.
Oct 10: Kochi given a leeway of ten days by BCCI to form a joint venture.
Oct 12: Congress Minister Shashi Tharoor urges the consortium to sort out its differences.
Oct 13: A newspaper report revealed that a few investors were trying to quit the consortium.
Oct 14: Rendezvous Sports (RS) makes yet another offer to buy the whole 25 per cent of free equity. The investors originally turned down this offer last month.
Oct 15: A source close to Anchor Group reveals that the investors were willing to offer payment (in cash) of 10 per cent of the free equity to the Gaikwads.
Oct 16: Rendezvous Sports spokesperson Satyendra Gaekwad confirms the issue had not been resolved between them and the other stakeholders.
Oct 18: A source reveals RS had agreed to invest rather than keep sweat equity.
Oct 19: With about 24 hours left for the deadline, all the stakeholders of the franchise met for almost five hours and failed to reach a compromise.
