Adelaide: Moments after skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni decided to rest Bhuvneshwar Kumar for India's last warm-up match against Afghanistan yesterday, murmurs started doing the rounds that the seamer is not fit enough for the World Cup.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

If he is Team India's No 1 bowler in the absence of Ishant Sharma then why didn't he play yesterday? It appears he is not fit and India have to think hard before playing him against Pakistan in the World Cup opener on February 15.

One wonders why is the Indian team management not sending him back to India and drafting in Dhawal Kulkarni.

Draft in Kulkarni...
The team management is mum at the moment and it is now quite clear that this is the reason Kulkarni has been retained unofficially. Kulkarni, however, cannot take part in the team's practice sessions.

He also cannot enter the dressing room since he is not part of the 15-member squad for the World Cup. Bhuvneshwar's case is getting more curious by the day.
