It was an emotional experience for Mumbai's Abhishek Nayar after scalping former Mumbai captain and current Assam skipper Amol Muzumdar for one run in the Ranji Trophy yesterday.
"I made my (Mumbai) comeback under Amol. He has always had lot of faith in my bowling. I have great respect for him. He's one of the best first-class batsmen, so it feels good to get his wicket," Nayar, who took two wickets for 17 runs, told MiD DAY. Only 36 overs were bowled, as play started late due to a wet outfield on Day Two at the MCA's Bandra ground. Assam were 81 for three at stumps. "I share a good rapport with Amol. I hope he will take it (the wicket) sportingly," he added.
